International News: Karisma Kapoor’s children have raised serious objections regarding the authenticity of their father Sanjay Kapoor’s will. They approached the Delhi High Court claiming that the document is not genuine and contains clear inconsistencies. The language and structure of the will, they argued, do not reflect Sanjay Kapoor’s style of writing. According to them, the discrepancies are strong enough to prove it is a forged document. The case has quickly become one of the most talked-about legal disputes in recent times.

Jethmalani Points Out Will Discrepancies

Representing the children, senior lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani pointed out major flaws in the will during court proceedings. He stressed that certain clauses appeared unrealistic and unlike what Sanjay Kapoor would draft. Citing an example, he said the document mentioned “all heirs” but did not include Kapoor’s mother, Rani Kapoor, who had always been provided for earlier. This omission, he argued, raises doubts about the legitimacy of the will. The court has taken note of these objections for further scrutiny.

Use of Feminine Pronouns Sparks Doubts

Another unusual aspect highlighted was the use of feminine pronouns like “she” and “her” in reference to Sanjay Kapoor within the will. Jethmalani described this as absurd, suggesting that the document was drafted carelessly or deliberately manipulated. He even remarked that it appeared as if Kapoor had signed the will as a woman.

This strange linguistic detail, according to the lawyer, is a clear indicator that the document is not genuine. Such inconsistencies have fueled the children’s claims of forgery.

Lack of Authentic Evidence Raises Concerns

Jethmalani further told the court that the will lacked authentic evidence. It portrayed Sanjay Kapoor as a “digital ghost,” with only digital footprints and no handwritten signatures, photographs, or verifiable communications. The lawyer argued that neither the defendants nor the witnesses clarified who prepared the document.

He suggested that it was possibly drafted on the laptop of a man named Nitin Sharma. This absence of clarity and physical proof, he said, makes the will unreliable and highly questionable.

Dispute Over Property Worth 30,000 Crore

Sanjay Kapoor, chairman of auto component giant Sona Comstar, passed away in June in London after a heart attack. His death immediately triggered a dispute over his vast estate reportedly valued at ₹30,000 crore. Kapoor had married Karisma Kapoor in 2003, and the couple divorced in 2016 after having two children, Samaira and Kiaan. In 2017, he married Priya Sachdev, adding further complexity to the family’s inheritance battle. The size of the estate has drawn major public and media attention.

Priya Kapoor Directed to Submit Asset Details

In a previous hearing, the Delhi High Court directed Priya Kapoor to submit her asset details in a sealed cover. The court also instructed that a copy of the will be shared with Rani Kapoor. Priya’s lawyer revealed that Karisma’s children had already received ₹1,900 crore from a family trust. However, their lawyer strongly objected to this disclosure, arguing that it could endanger the children’s safety. This disagreement has further intensified the legal proceedings and added tension between both sides.

Children Claim Will Contradicts Father’s Nature

Karisma Kapoor’s children maintain that the will does not represent their father’s true intentions. They allege that the document contains multiple contradictions inconsistent with Sanjay Kapoor’s character and behavior. They insist that the will is forged and demand a thorough judicial review. The dispute has divided the family into two sides, creating deep tensions over inheritance rights. The court’s eventual decision will determine the rightful heirs and whether the contested will has any validity. The case continues to dominate headlines nationwide.
